Marianne has been working with glass for over ten years. All the items produced at Shepardson Studios are created by cutting and piecing together various colors of sheeted glass. Cutting is done by hand, giving each piece its own hand crafted look. The pieces are then assembled and fired in kilns. Many of the pieces require a two-step kiln firing so that they may be shaped into three dimensional forms. Most of the pieces have iridized surfaces, which is permanent. They are safe for food but should be hand-washed.
