“When I am creating a work of jewelry, the experience is an intimate one, I am establishing a dialog with the one person who will ultimately wear it.”
After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design and studying glass in Italy, Sandra decided that jewelry was her calling. She hand fabricates each piece by fusing and forming 20 gauge silver into its own shape. She then “paints” in the enamel colors in layers to give the look of shadows and textures. This process brings together lines and colors to create off-kilter shapes that seem perfectly balanced.
