My home and studio are located “where the wind turns around” between the North Toe River and a big pasture. I can not help but be inspired by the ever-changing colors and critters of these Appalachian Mountains. I have always believed that creating is an essential part of human nature. The intuitive designs of Australian Aboriginal and Native American cultures provide an inspiration and encouragement for my creative journey. Assorted dyes and paints allow me to express seasons of color and to share images from western North Carolina and my travels. Whether I am making wearable accessories or wall hangings, I want each piece to reflect nature’s beauty.
