John Geci grew up in Litchfield, CT and went to Hartwick College in upstate NY where he began blowing glass. After college he spent two months at the Penland School and was the first resident glass artist for EnergyXchange, a nonprofit organization near Penland, NC, which was established to explore the use of alternative energy sources.
