As a studio potter for over 25 years, she believes that life is a gift. Making pots is her way of celebrating and maintaining that belief. The creative process compels her to listen to an inner voice, her intuition, which in turn provides her with clues about how to live life. Her inspirations range from garlic cloves to onion domes, from the Isle of Cree to the Land of Oz, and from Antonio Gaudi to Dr. Seuss. She sees beauty, humor and vigor everywhere and she tries to create pots that embody these values. The cross-pollination between life and work nourishes both as she strives to communicate a world view of wonder, curiosity and joy.
