Gay is a studio potter, single firing porcelain ware in a kiln near Penland, NC. She bases much of her work on intuition and seems to be very inspired by emotion. She likes to decorate her pots using responsive surfaces and forms. Perhaps this work develops qualities which can benefit: caring, attention, commitment, honesty, courage, passion, hard work, love of beauty, and a willingness to get one’s hands dirty.
