Ann Baran has been weaving for 30 years. Her love for weaving began as a girl growing up in New England where exhibits and demonstrations on American colonial traditions were abundant. Spinning, natural dyeing, and most of all the art of hand weaving wool, flax and cotton fibers inspired her. This inspiration and the beauty of hand woven materials eventually brought Anna to study the art of hand weaving and purchase her first loom. Life has taken her to the lush, rolling hills of North Carolina where she loves to weave whenever she can find the time.
Ann weaves with many materials including cotton, linen, silk, wool, Tencel® and bamboo to name a few.
